the best thing we ever did in the house was pull down the wall between the tiny (sunny) front room room and the rest of the downstairs. even during winter the sun (when it's out) blasts in through the front window lighting up the whole space (including the vase of daffodils sitting on the coffee table).
sorry about missing a midweek post yesterday - we were out at a gig - a band called 'holy fuck' in whelans - which was enjoyable, though less overwhelming and definitely less loud than i was anticipating. (an opinion in which i am not alone, it seems).
