i love the contrast of the brightness of the new shoots against the darkness of the compost in this shot. i could be happier with the composition, but i wasn't willing to lie flat (or even kneel down) on the wet lawn to achieve anything better (obviously i'm not dedicated enough!). i'll have to invest in a waterproof sheet for such occasions in future.
Its so good to see spring… think it makes everyone happy to see the little shoots.
Time to hit the hills and get some sprouts myself.

Well to be honest I think the composition is actually really nice, the colours jump off the screen. I will be honest even though you are competition to me for the next 3 hours this shot as soon as it came on honestly made me say wow.
So …fresh!
