the lines of light are a bus whizzing by. shutter speed was 1.6 sec and the camera was hand held (man, i've got steady hands! - though not this morning after a late night in sin é)

I agree, at 1.6s and an estimated streak of say 30m+, not including the length of the bus, that driver was really moving….
Really nice shot, I have to say transport wise they suck but dublin bus are usefull for this sort of shot.
