greetings from tokyo!!
the cherry blossom might be gone, but the acers (japanese maples) that i adore are in perfect leaf. i didn't realise there would be so many of these trees and i may be beginning to drive aonghus and cliodhna nuts, stopping for photos everytime i see one.
apart from taking lots of photos, we've been eating all around us and after two days i think i'm already suffering from an excess of consumption. but it's all just so delicious. i'm in food heaven. we're had soba, tempura, gyoza, yakatori and that's just the stuff who's names i can remember. not much sushi yet - but that's definitely to come.
