the second set of five acer pics today as promised.
re. the 'acer' v 'japanese maple' naming debate (not that you could call it such!?) from what i can discover via google, it seems that the term acer covers the group of trees as a whole (also including all types of maple tree) while japanese maple refers to a specific species of acer - acer palmatum being the latin name. so i was mistaken to be using the two names interchangebly ;)

    Hehe never thought that our debate would be more entertaining then bertie and enda. And sorry for going a bit mad with my last post no offence meant or anything.
    Photo 9 does it for me this is by far the best one for me composition, colour etc is really nice to my eyes anyhow.
