we're back from south africa!
we made a very last minute decision to go to a friends' wedding in cape town - booking the flights just ten days before we flew out - but we're delighted we did, coz we had an absolute blast!
this photo was taken in addo national park where we spent a couple of days driving ourselves around and animal spotting.
of course blogging-wise, i picked the absolute worst time of year to go away and nearly missed all the excitement of getting shortlisted in the photoblog category of the 2008 irish blog awards (along with a slew of incredibly talented photobloggers. my, the competition is fierce!)
thankfully the trip won't clash with the blog awards event itself (which is happening this saturday in dublin's alexander hotel) so i'll definitely be able to go to that. yay! and someone else who's going is my dad!! who got shortlisted in the food & drink category (congratulations dad!)
