clifton 1st beach

this is clifton 1st beach - about ten minutes drive from downtown cape town. we spent approximately three hours on beaches over the holiday. it was not a beach holiday then. which some would say is a shame - as cape town has some magnificent beaches. but it has sh*t loads of other magnificent stuff too, so whatcha gonna do?
… a lot of people out of the water!
that’d be because with currents coming directly up from antarctica the water was freeeezing!!
Freezing water, body to body packed beach, high rise behind, no wonder you only spent three hours on the beach! (makes Tramore look bearable)
