the evening after the wedding (not long after i eventually surfaced) we went for a stroll in the vines and fields near the hotel coz someone had seen meerkats galavanting around there the previous day.
there were no meerkats that evening, but there was beautifully warm dusky light and some 'normal' african scenery - which is breathtaking if you can try and remember not to get too used to it.
