something slightly different today...
some of my favourite regular reads online are blogs about interiors, furniture and crafty things (particularly these three dublin based ladies; homebug, design-undercover and designindublin - must reads for anyone in dublin interested in home decor!) so, inspired by all the creative diy-ings i've been reading, i've decided to share our most recent diy project - our new pot hanger!
it took us most of last saturday to accomplish - though a fair amount of that was stuck in a traffic jam on the oscar traynor road coming back from picking up the stainless steel sheeting. and as you can see aonghus did most of the work while i supported as general tool passing lackey, tea-maker and official documenter.

The place is looking great Caitriona! Nice pot rack too! We bought a ceiling-suspended pot rack in IKEA that I was really excited about hanging over our kitchen sink, only to discover that the ceiling in that spot is made from sort of crepe paper-like material. Fiddlesticks.

shame about your pot rack – why do walls (and ceilings) always have to be so difficult – either too feeble or too tough. grr…
