these are lettuce and rocket seedlings planted by my mum that were thriving (except for the odd slug attack) in my parent's sunny back garden when we visited last weekend. she gave us a few for our yard and i hope we can coax them into surviving (and maybe growing a little bit bigger) with the minimal amount of sunshine available in our yard.
Funny that, my mum foisted some lettuce on me on Monday too. She’s a veritable greenfingers but I tend to kill every plant I own, so we’ll see how they get on…
yay! let’s see if we can make stoneybatter self-sufficient in lettuce (that or produce some particularly satisfied looking slugs)
